Happy Birthday Trav!

Happy (32) Birthday Babe! I love reading everyone's blogs about how their husband is 20-something and old! lol. Travis turns 32 today and I think he looks better than everyone else's (old) husbands lol. (I'm sure everyone feels that way) I've decided that Travis looks and acts (lol) younger than most of the men my age. Not maturity-wise, but he doesn't know how to slow down!!! He definitely keeps me going. I thought that I was getting old until I met Travis and realized that age was a lifestyle and not a number..... Travis brings excitemnt and laughter to the lives of everyone that he comes in contact with! I've decided that it is impossible for anyone not to love him! (Anyone that knows him can attest to this!) I couldn't have asked for a better friend, companion, and father figure for Austin to spend eternity with! I should have added spoiled!!! Travis had 4 birthday celebrations!!! lol.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone! Halloween was such a fun day for us! Austin went as Chewbacca this year! Travis is the one who found the costume and at first I didn't like the idea of it! After he tried it on at the store I fell in love with it!!! So I went home and ordered it online (I didn't want him to have one that everyone else had touched). It was perfect because no one else had his costume! It started out kind of crazy, because Travis didn't think that he was going to make it out to Grantsville in time to go trick-or-treating with Austin in I. Thankfully, Travis is a much faster driver than I! He made it to my parent's house just as we were getting ready to walk out the door all decked out in his Qwest gear (lol)! We had a lot of fun trick-or-treating but the best was definitely the trunk-or-treat put on by my mom's ward! Austin had so much fun and by the end of it he was a trick-or-treat pro!

Weekend Getaway

Travis and I were totally burned out from work this week and decided that we needed a mini vacation. We went down to Richfield to stay with my Grandma Joyce and hit the local sites while were were there. Travis is dog sitting his parent's dog Maggie Lynn while they are in Alabama so she got to come on the little trip too! We got up early Saturday and hit the road. We started heading to Big Rock Candy Mountain and saw a sign for Butch Cassidy's home. We thought that it might be cool because neither of us had seen it. I had never been to Circleville, and I now know why my parents never took me there lol! We drove a half an hour out of our way to find it chained off. We had a fun time though! We went back to Big Rock Candy Mountain to hike and take pictures. Austin had a fun time walking his Aunt Maggie Lynn (the dog). It was fun, but the big highlight was the Fremont Indian State Park. We had so much fun hiking to the different sites and seeing the art on the rock walls! We even snuck off of the trail to get a closer picture! We had a great time visiting family and exploring the area!

WOW One whole year!

Tomorrow Travis and I will have been together for a year! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! We met last year on the 12th at Miller Motor Sports Park's Vehicle (career) day. I was there with the class that I was student teaching in and he was a presenter for his company. Apparently he has a thing for teachers because he was totally hitting on me in front of my students! (I love you babe lol!) I was sad because I thought that he was wearing a ring........on his right hand......I didn't pick up on the fact that it was his right hand at first! (I found out later that it was a CTR ring!) I thought that he was so good looking and had a great smile! We went out for the first time the next Saturday on October 20th and have been together ever since (rocky roads and all lol.) A month ago when we realized that it was coming up we decided that we would go out on our first date again to celebrate! We decided to do yesterday because of school and work. We had a blast! We ate at the same Restaurant, Ruby River (leave it to Trav to take a girl to a steakhouse on a first date.......what would have happened if I was a vegetarian!) The food was great! We went to the same Haunted House, and this year when I had to hold onto him I was totally clear to do so. Travis likes to tease that I was all over him the first night........but I'm not sure what he was expecting when he took a girl to a haunted house. To sum it up both the first date and our 1 year date were amazing! We've decided to make this a yearly tradition! I'm so glad to have Travis in our lives and I am so excited that he will be here forever! I love you Trav! (more than you know ; ) )

DATE CHANGE

We decided to change our wedding date from the 7th of February to the 6th. We have been looking for a place that we both could agree on for the reception for 4 months!!! Finally the other day we both came upon the same website at the same time of a reception center in SLC (crazy, I know!) We went and checked it out on Friday, fell in love with it, and were both totally crushed when we found out it was already booked for the 7th! We checked out a few more places, but both really wanted the other! After a LONG talk......at 11 p.m. we decided that moving the Wedding up one day was totally worth it! We both had specific things that we wanted, and we both felt satisfied with this choice!
On a side note for those of you who have followed our little engagement know that I wasn't totally thrilled about an 8 month (exactly) engagement! I wanted the date moved up and Travis wanted to keep in February so that we could have everyone there............ LOL. I guess it's kind of funny that we both got our way!!! The date has been moved up and it's still in February!
Oh by the way, the place that we chose is The Old Meeting House!

The Fam!

Austin

Austin will be two in January! I can't believe how fast the past couple of years have gone! He blows my mind with the new things that he says and does each day! He has gotten really good at saying please, and now has taken it a step further to making you say please before he will give you what you want! lol. We started working on alphabet flash cards and he is doing really well. (this is what happens when your mom is a teacher!) I am really surprised by how much he likes doing it each night! The three of us have so much fun at bedtime reading stories and now practicing letters! He loves to rearrange Trav's things and wait to see how he will react! I love his little personality and couldn't imagine my life without him!

Life In Syracuse!

Austin and I have been living in Syracuse for 2 months now and we love it! It has been so nice not to have to drive back and forth! The three of us have had so much fun now that we get to spend so much time together. It's been great to have the extra time with Travis as we try to finish planning our big wedding!

Figuring Things Out!

I love to look at everyone's blogs to keep up with your lives..................After some thought I decided that it was time that Travis and I had our own! We have way more than enough going on in our lives to write about lol!
